Welcome to My Quarters, a fintech platform provided by MyQuarters Inc. ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information in compliance with Bill C-27. By using the My Quarters platform, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
My Quarters operates in compliance with Bill C-27 and relevant provincial legislation concerning the collection, use, and sharing of personal data used in our financial services. Your data remains within our secure infrastructure located within the designated jurisdiction.
We understand the importance of safeguarding your personal data. The following categories of personal data may be collected when you use our services:
In addition to financial information, we collect and generate data related to your use of our rewards and home savings features. This includes:
When you connect your bank account, we receive transaction information from our aggregation partners. We use this data to identify eligible transactions and calculate Points, provide personalized financial insights and housing-related recommendations, determine your eligibility for promotions or partner offers, and build anonymized and aggregated analytics about spending patterns which we may license to partners such as retailers or financial institutions.
Partners who receive analytics do not receive your name, bank account number, or raw transaction history. They receive only aggregated and anonymized statistics designed not to identify any individual.
Where necessary to apply rewards to an eligible housing-related transaction, we may share limited information with landlords, property managers, brokerages, lenders, or closing agents to confirm eligibility or arrange payment on your behalf. We do not sell your identifiable personal information to third parties.
We will retain your personal data only for the duration necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy and in compliance with Bill C-27. Your personal data may be processed at My Quarters's operational offices and other locations where processing parties are situated, which may involve transferring your data to computers located outside your jurisdiction.
If you withdraw your consent or close your account, we will stop using your personal information for new, identifiable purposes. We may continue to use information that has been anonymized and aggregated in a way that no longer identifies you — for example to maintain historical benchmarks or spending pattern analytics.
We employ commercially acceptable means to protect your data, including advanced cybersecurity services, firewalls, and other security protocols integrated into our third-party service providers. We place paramount importance on safeguarding your data in accordance with the provisions of Bill C-27 and the laws of the Province of Ontario.
Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13.
You have the right to withdraw your consent for us to collect, use, and disclose your personal information. To initiate the withdrawal process, please reach out to us using the contact information in the section below.
We may share your personal data with third-party service providers for business purposes, including analytics, advertising, and improving user experience. These third parties are contractually obligated to protect your data and may not use it for any other purpose.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data stored by My Quarters. You can also object to or restrict My Quarters's processing of your data. To exercise these rights, please contact us using the information below.
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to collect and use personal information about you, including to serve interest-based advertising. You have the option to disable cookies through your browser settings.
Your personal data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than the country in which you are a resident. These countries may have data protection laws that are different from those of your country. We take appropriate safeguards to ensure that your personal data will remain protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy as needed. Any changes will be posted on our platform with an updated effective date.
